Meet the Team!

Emily Rutten is the Operations Manager for Shanghai Chapter. She is currently in her fourth year of a Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of International Studies at the University of Technology Sydney, and is spending a year on exchange at Shanghai University studying Chinese Language. As an Australian Malaysian-Chinese individual and New Colombo Plan Scholar, she has a deep personal interest in cross-cultural connection and community-building within the Australia-China space. Outside of polishing up her Mandarin, Emily loves to meet new people, try new things and learn as much about Chinese culture as possible!
