Chair
Lucy has 10+ years of experience in government, banking and investment management across Australia and China. A founding committee member of ACYPI Shanghai, she led the Shanghai Chapter from 2018-2021 and is excited to take ACYPI to the next chapter of growth as National CEO. Lucy is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Vice Chair
Judy is a CPA with a new career in strategic communications and has over 8 years of experience in federated NGOs and government with global vision. As CPA Victorian Councillor, she represents 40,000 members. Joined ACYPI in 2019, she believes in the power of soft diplomacy and she is passionate about coordinating Australia chapters and fostering sponsorship and collaboration opportunities.

Secretary
Emily has over 8 years experience as a lawyer in Australia, working on commercial and international matters with a focus on China. She joined ACYPI Brisbane in 2017 and was appointed to the ACIL Board as Secretary in 2021. Emily enjoys being a part of the diverse ACYPI community and looks forward to supporting young professionals connect with like-minded peers.

National Communications Manager
Harry "Hazza" Harding is a seasoned journalist and National Communications Manager for the Australia-China Young Profes- sionals Initiative (ACYPI). With twelve years of experience reporting on China and Australia-China relations, Harry has built a solid reputation as a television and radio host, providing valuable insights into the two nations' dynamic interactions. Before taking on his current role, Harry was the ACYPI Guangzhou Chapter Head, where he honed his leadership skills and expanded his professional network. Now based in Brisbane, he is furthering his education by pursuing a Master in International Relations at Griffith University.

China Engagement Manager
Joyce Zhuo, a consultant at PwC, also serves as the China Engagement Manager for ACYPI. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Music from the University of Melbourne, and a master's degree in Digital Law at Monash University. In addition to her professional career, Joyce is an accomplished pianist and educator, having performed globally and collaborated with renowned musicians. In her free time, she enjoys participating in half-marathons, playing golf, badminton, tennis.

Australia Engagement Manager
Alison is our Australia Engagement Manager for 2023. She currently works in the Group Strategy team at Qantas. Alison is interested in issues relating to the Australia-China bilateral space, particularly concerning geopolitics, socio-cultural matters, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). She believes that ACYPI provides an invaluable platform for members to learn, network, and engage in powerful conversations on the Australia-China space.

National IT Manager
Eric has lived in both Australia and China and has observed the challenges faced by many Chinese students and migrants trying to adapt to life in Australia, and vice versa. He strongly believes that the most effective approach to assist them is by providing a platform to facilitate engagement. While individuals may have limited impact, as a collective group, they can drive change and make a significant difference. Being a part of a platform like ACYPI, Eric is grateful for the opportunity to utilize his expertise in IT to contribute to the continuous improvement of relationships between people from these two countries.

Growing up in China and have been living in Australia for 7 years, Laura has a great passion for leading ACYPI Sydney Chapter to build the community for young professionals. She speaks both Mandarin and English.

Melbourne Chapter Co-Head
Nicky is an operational system specialist, having graduated with first class honours from University of Melbourne in food packaging and innovation. Professionally, Nicky currently works for HelloFresh as the AU system key user where he specializes in warehouse management system optimisation and interdepartmental coordination in food manufacturing settings. In addition, Nicky also volunteers as the co-lead of ACYPI Melbourne, aiming to bridge connections for young professionals. His career aspiration is to create sustainable food innovation strategies that satisfy the social needs and wants of the international community.

"Cindy works as a lawyer at Eales & Mackenzie in Melbourne. Cindy came to Melbourne in 2013 to do her bachelor’s degree in Arts (majoring in International Relations) at Monash University. She then did the Juris Doctor degree and got admitted as an Australian lawyer in 2021. She joined ACYPI Melbourne in 2021 and was appointed as as Melbourne Chapter Co-Head in 2023. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin."

Brisbane Chapter Co-Head
Vecenlia works in Forensic Litigation and Dispute area of service and had professional experience in forensic claims management, forensic in personal injury, as well as Tax and Business Advisory. She is passionate about Young Professional development and is keen on growing with others. She was the co-founder and Deputy Chair of Queensland Young Professional Committee at CPA Australia in 2019. As a Chinese immigrant in Australia for more than 9 years, she is keen to bring ACYPI back to the QLD Community with her Team after the unprecedented COVID years. The Team aims at facilitating the communication of young professionals from both countries.

Yunrui is currently studying for her Master’s Degree in Communication for Development at the University of Queensland. She specialises in participatory development communication and communication for development. Yunrui used to work at Kreab Beijing – a global communication consultancy company. Having involved in Australia-China Youth Association (ACYA) for three years, Yunrui is looking forward to coordinate events in ACYPI Brisbane chapter. Yunrui enjoys writing articles. She composes English summaries for Chinese books for a Singaporean Startup – Nextpage.

Adelaide Chapter Co-Head
Andy has over 6 years of experience as a teacher in various educational settings in Australia, spanning from primary to tertiary levels. In 2022, he became part of ACYPI Adelaide, and one year later, he assumed the role of Project Officer for organising the first-ever Global Professionals Summit held in Melbourne. Alongside his teaching commitments, Andy is currently conducting research in music education at the University of Adelaide.

Catherine has worked in arts, tourism and education across Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, having also studied under a Confucius Institute scholarship at Tianjin University. She was once the Music Director of China’s largest local English language theatre company. In 2022 Catherine completed a Graduate Diploma of Economics and currently works on DFAT’s New Colombo Plan scholarship program.

Chengdu Chapter Head
Nicki, the Founder and Managing Director of Donrein Cultures, is a Chengdu native with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from the University of Adelaide. Her literary accomplishments include Wind Chaser, a novel published by China World Affairs Press, and the children's book Cézanne in The Great Great Painter series. With a passion for arts and cultures, she curated the Koalas In Ink exhibition, featuring abstract Chinese ink paintings. Nicki's leadership extends to roles as Chairman of ACYA Chengdu and ACYPI Chengdu, while also serving as Deputy Secretary General of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base. Her endeavors embody a commitment to bridging Eastern cultures and fostering innovation.
