Judy Gao

Board Chair & CEO


 

Judy is the Board Chair and CEO of ACYPI who has proudly been associated with ACYPI since 2019. She served as Board Vice-Chair in 2023 and the inaugural Australia Chapters Engagement Manager in 2022.

A dynamic woman in leadership in board governance, community development & advocacy particularly in the realms of Australia-Asia relations, multicultural and geopolitical affairs, with strategic communications and engagement and financial management experience working in public sector, not for profit and sport.

Globally Recognised Asia Capability and Community & Advocacy Leadership. Judy won Judges' Commendation Award on Community Service category at Australia China Alumni Awards in 2023; Judy was also named as one of the three finalists on Community Advocacy Category at Asia Society Australia the Melbourne Asia Game Changer Awards (Spotlight on Southeast Asia) in 2023; and she was also endorsed into Asialink Leaders Program in 2022 as one of the 40 global leaders in Australia and Asia relations.

State Recognised Board Potential and National Multicultural Intelligence. Victoria Minister for Multicultural Affairs/Youth/Community Sport endorsed Judy as one of the 46 successful Victorian women for the Change Our Game Women in Governance Program 2022 which provided Judy AICD board directorship training in 2022; Victorian Government Victoria Multicultural Commission also sponsored Judy’s AICD membership 2023 and endorsed her into the inaugural Multicultural Community Leaders in Action Program 2022; and she was also in the award judging committee and gala panel for the inaugural national Australian Professionals of Colour (APOC) Awards.

Judy also currently serves as a Board Member of AFL Asia Advisory Board, a Founding Executive Board Director of Executive Wealth Circle Australia Community Engagement Inc and a re-elected CPA Victoria Divisional Councillor.

Judy's multifaceted skill set, coupled with her passion for promoting Australia-Asia relations and advocating for multiculturalism, makes her a highly respected and influential figure within both the local and global communities. Her continued leadership within ACYPI and other prominent organisations underscores her ongoing commitment to making a meaningful impact in the realms of governance, community development, and advocacy.
