Meet the Team!

Isabelle Hu is an Assistant Director at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), where she leads international tax cooperation and capacity-building initiatives across the Indo-Pacific region. She manages strategic partnerships with overseas tax administrations and represents Australia in regional forums, with a focus on governance, institutional capability, and public sector collaboration.

Isabelle holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Monash Business School and has completed executive leadership and public sector programs through the Australian Public Service, the World Bank, and VIA University College (Denmark), specialising in digital transformation, leadership, and international collaboration.

Beyond her public service role, Isabelle is passionate about strengthening Australia–China engagement through professional and community leadership. She serves as a Board Member of the Australia China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI) and Chair of the Young Professional Alliance at the Hong Kong Australia Business Association (Victoria). Through these roles, she is committed to fostering cross-cultural understanding, supporting emerging leaders, and strengthening people-to-people and business connections between Australia and China.

Having migrated to Australia at a young age, Isabelle is passionate about creating opportunities for young professionals from diverse backgrounds. She is a strong advocate for inclusive leadership, international engagement, and empowering the next generation to make a positive impact across the Australia–China relationship and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
