Siyu Chen

GM China

Nicki possesses a diverse educational background spanning China, Singapore, and Australia. Following her graduation from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, she built her early career in Adelaide’s media industry and Sydney’s film sector. During her time in Sydney, Nicki penned her debut novel, Wind Chaser (published in China as Ups and Downs in Sydney 1997). Drawing inspiration from the real-life stories of Chinese immigrants who moved to Australia in the 1990s, the book captures the profound emotions and gritty determination involved in building a new life in a foreign land. In 2019, the novel was published by the World Affairs Press (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China) and distributed across both China and Australia. In 2022, she further expanded her literary portfolio with the publication of The Great Painter: Cézanne by Beijing United Publishing Company. A multi-disciplinary talent, Nicki successfully hosted her abstract ink art exhibition, “Koalas In Ink” in both Sydney and Chengdu in 2019. Driven by a deep-seated passion for cultural fusion, she founded Donrein Cultures, an integrated agency dedicated to distilling Eastern philosophy and heritage into brand values for a global clientele. In 2023, Nicki co-founded Sinoworks, providing cutting-edge global energy solutions and strategic consulting services to clients in China, Australia, and Europe.
