Meet the Team!

Leslie is an Australia-based international engagement professional who is passionate about strengthening Australia–China people-to-people ties. Drawing on his lived experience in both China and Australia, he is committed to promoting cross-cultural understanding, professional collaboration, and meaningful dialogue between the two countries.

Over the past several years, Leslie has contributed to Australia’s international education sector through roles supporting both inbound and outbound student mobility. He has worked extensively with international students, government-sponsored scholarship programs, and global partners, while also supporting Australian students to undertake overseas study experiences through the New Colombo Plan. These experiences have enabled him to facilitate meaningful international engagement from both perspectives and have reinforced his belief that lasting bilateral relationships are built through trust, collaboration, and people-to-people connections.

As Adelaide Marketing Manager for the Australia–China Young Professionals Initiative (ACYPI), Leslie is committed to advancing ACYPI’s mission of engaging, connecting, and empowering the next generation of Australia–China leaders. He is passionate about creating opportunities for young professionals to exchange ideas, expand their networks, and deepen mutual understanding, helping strengthen the enduring Australia–China relationship through meaningful people-to-people engagement.
